Philosophy

The central philosophy in our coaching is that our clients are assumed to be creative, resourceful and whole.  Clients are able to find their own solutions to address their challenges. This philosophy guides the coach’s actions. The coach:

  • Helps the client establish clear, measurable goals
  • Encourages the client to find new perspectives and ways of viewing their challenges
  • Keeps the client on-track toward their goals by managing the coaching process and providing accountability
  • Doesn’t give advice – doing so would prevent the client from finding the solution that best fits their needs and situation

This philosophy also defines responsibilities for the client in a coaching relationship. The client:

  • Defines their goals for coaching engagement
  • Sets the pace for the work
  • Identifies tasks to be completed between sessions and is accountable for its completion
  • Communicates directly
